Beware Of Pickpocket Mode! Stolen HP Dropped To The Floor Then Put In His Partner's Bag

JAKARTA - The pickpocketing at the Central Park Mall elevator, Tanjung Duren, Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta has gone viral on social media. The CCTV footage shows the pickpocket dropping the stolen cellphone. The video was shared by the Instagram account @kontributorjakarta on Friday, August 20.

The video shows a woman standing in the corner of the elevator suddenly advancing to the mall elevator door. The woman initially stood in the mall elevator which was not seen by CCTV. Holding his bag, his face panicked and asked other visitors in the elevator.

Several mall patrons pointed out the see-through elevator doors. Then in a panic, the female visitor exited the mall door on the next floor.

Suddenly the man in the white shirt who was standing next to the woman dropped a cellphone onto the elevator floor. Quickly, the cellphone was taken by the man in the white shirt.

Central Park Mall Public Relations Nadya Arriana confirmed the information. Nadya said the incident happened a long time ago, namely May 7th.

"It happened on May 7 and in the process on May 27," he confirmed, Friday, August 20.

Nadya said that her party had confirmed this to the victim. The case has also been reported to the West Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters and is still being handled by the police.

Meanwhile, West Jakarta Metro Police Head of Criminal Investigation, Kompol Joko Dwi, said that his party was still conducting an investigation. Joko has not detailed the investigation that is being carried out by his side or there have been reports from victims of the incident.

He admitted that his party had been dispatched to a number of suspected points to uncover the perpetrators.

"Our officers have been deployed to investigate the perpetrators," he said.
