KARAWANG - The Head of the Karawang Regency District Attorney's Office, Martha Parulina Berliana, confirmed that her party had carried out a field review and collected evidence related to the withholding of cash social assistance funds.

"We have previously followed up (reports of residents regarding the cutting of cash assistance) by collecting evidence and field observations," Parulina said, quoted by Antara, Friday, August 20.

Parulina said that her party received reports from residents of Pasirtalaga Village, Telagasari District, Karawang regarding the alleged cut in cash assistance from the supposed Rp600,000 to Rp300,000.

However, in the midst of collecting evidence and examining witnesses, the village, through the village head of Pasirtalaga Yani Utari Indriani, returned the withholding money to the residents whose cash assistance was cut.

Kajari said that the refund of the discounted money to residents was not based on the direction of law enforcement. Possibly it was the initiative of the related village head.

However, Kajari emphasized that this case has not yet entered the stage of investigation and investigation. The refund of the BST deduction is said to bring benefits to the community.
