The DPR Down Website Was Hacked By Hackers Who Rejected The HIP Bill
JAKARTA - The official website of the House of Representatives (DPR) website cannot be accessed tonight. The site with the address dpr.go.id is suspected to have been hacked and taken over by hackers.
According to VOI, the DPR website cannot be accessed. The browser engine attempted to reload the DPR page, but it failed and displayed the caption 'Connnection Timed Out'.
Through Twitter social media, an account called @ AnonConf0rmity claims to have taken over the DPR website. According to him, this hacking action was carried out as part of a protest against the Pancasila Ideology Policy Bill or the HIP Bill.

In its thread, this Twitter account considers the DPR's efforts with the HIP Bill to be a threat because it changes the nation's ideology. "We are the Legion. We do not forgive. We do not forget," he added.
DPR Secretary General Indra Iskandar said that he did not know the details of this hacking issue. However, the DPR will coordinate to find out why the DPR website cannot be accessed.
It is known that the discussion on the Draft Law on HIP was a polemic. A number of parties criticized the substance contained in the draft bill that was first proposed by the MP.
The Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD said the government had decided to postpone the discussion of the Pancasila Ideology Policy Bill (RUU HIP).
The government, said Mahfud, asked the DPR to have more dialogue and absorb more aspirations from the public regarding the draft law.
"So the government did not send a presidential surpres, did not send a presidential letter for the discussion. That is the procedural aspect," Mahfud told reporters in Jakarta, Tuesday, June 16.
