BADUNG - A recidivist named I Wayan Jon (48) stole a bag to buy liquor (liquor). The perpetrator was arrested by the Mengwi Police, Badung, Bali.

At that time, the victim named Sri Utami came shopping and put a bag containing valuables. After that the victim cooked in the kitchen.

While cooking the victim went to the bathroom, as soon as he finished from the bathroom, the victim saw that his bag was gone. The victim reported the incident to the Mengwi Police.

While the victim's belongings were missing, 1 piece of purple cloth tote bag which contained 1 white Samsung A5 cellphone, IDR 400 thousand in cash and other documents.

"The victim's total loss is around Rp. 5 million. Meanwhile, the modus operandi of the perpetrators is to easily take the goods that are placed on the seat in front of the warehouse," he added.

Through this report, the police immediately went to the scene of the incident and conducted an investigation and from the statements of the witnesses obtained the identity of the perpetrator who was a recidivist mobile phone thief from Karangasem Regency, Bali.

Then, on Wednesday, August 18, the police arrested the perpetrator who was staying in Banjar Tonja, Gubug Village, Tabanan Regency, Bali.

Meanwhile, from the results of the interrogation, the perpetrator admitted that he had stolen a purple tote bag containing valuables.

"After taking the bags and their contents, the perpetrators dumped them on the side of the road when they returned home to Tabanan," he explained.

Meanwhile, the evidence that was secured was 1 black helmet, 1 black jacket with a white picture, 1 Samsung A50 mobile phone.

"From the records of the resdivis perpetrators, he was convicted of theft of cellphones at the Mendoyo Police (Jembarana Bali) and sentenced to 9 months," said Iptu Wirahadi.
