PCR Costs Drop, Reward: This Is What They've Been Waiting For, People Have Been Burdened All This Time
SEMARANG - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo said the policy of reducing the cost of PCR tests was good news for the community.
"I think this is what we've been waiting for, because so far people have been burdened by the high cost of PCR tests, especially since PCR is a requirement for people to travel," said Ganjar in Semarang, quoted by Antara, Thursday, August 19.
According to Ganjar, the reduction in PCR costs by up to 50 percent according to President Joko Widodo's instructions will certainly make people happy.
"I think this is good news for the public to get an easy and cheap service," he said.
However, Ganjar thought and hoped that the central government would recalculate how much it actually costs to carry out each PCR test. This means that the components in it are calculated, namely the price of reagents, VTM and energy incentives and processes.
"Perhaps, there is a much better and better price so that it can be cheaper," he said.
Ganjar claimed to have asked about the cost of testing for one person and to buy reagents, for example one person costs around Rp. 200 thousand.
"In addition to VTM and others, that's around Rp. 350 thousand, so actually our calculations, if there are trade people, it's good, but don't look for much profit. So what the President's decree has been very good," he said. reward.
