Live Broadcast Of Lesti Kejora And Rizky Billar's Wedding Events Protested

JAKARTA - The couple Lesti Kejora and Rizky Billar successfully held their wedding today, August 19. This procession is the last stage of the pre-wedding series which has been held since 8 August.

It is known that Billar and Lesti's pre-wedding event was broadcast by one television station. It turns out that this violates the Broadcasting Code of Conduct and Broadcast Program Standards (P3SPS), as stated by the West Java Regional Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPID).

Launching the official KPI website, they asked the Central KPI to send a warning to the ANTV station in Jakarta.

"The show is too much about private life, using a public frequency for almost 7 hours, not for the public interest," said West Java KPID Chairman Dr. Adiyana Slamet.

According to him, by naked eye, ANTV as the broadcaster of the pre-wedding event violated Article 11 paragraph 1 of the Broadcast Program Standard. There it is written that a program that is broadcast is for the benefit of the public and not the interests of certain groups.

In addition, there is article 13 paragraph 2 of the Broadcasting Program Standard which states that personal life issues should not be the subject of the entire event except for the public interest.

Previously, KPI also gave a stern warning to the television station RCTI, which broadcast the application process of Atta Halilintar and Aurel Hermansyah.

Deputy Chairman of the Central KPI, Mulyo Hadi Purnomo said that there should be a wedding procession that was broadcast containing information about the culture that was displayed. Content that is recorded as-is is also of no use to the public.
