MEDAN - A man wearing only underwear in Medan City was beaten by a mob. The man was arrested for trying to steal at a neighbor's house.
Based on information from residents, the perpetrator Muhammad Hakim (39), a resident of Jalan Perwira II Gang Kenanga, East Medan, entered the victim's house through the roof of the house.
"After being arrested, residents continued to ask the perpetrator if he entered from asbestos," said Supriadi, mentioning that the suspect's and victim's houses were next to each other.
The victim realized that a stranger wearing underwear entered his room.
"The victim admitted that the perpetrator wanted to steal and rape," he said again.
Seeing the suspect, LN immediately shouted a thief so that it became the attention of local residents.
"When they wanted to run away from the victim's house, residents immediately arrested him," he said.
Residents who were already emotional beat the man who had just come out of prison.
"We will call the East Medan Police," he said.
Separately, the East Medan Police Chief, Kompol M Arifin, said that the perpetrators were currently under investigation.
"We have secured it," he said, Thursday, August 19.
Arifin explained, from the results of the interim examination, the perpetrator did intend to steal at the victim's house.
"Indeed, at the time of the arrest, the perpetrator was arrested wearing green underwear," he said.
Regarding the suspicion that the perpetrator wanted to rape the victim, his party is still conducting an investigation. "We are still investigating," said Arifin.
