Komnas HAM Will Present TWK Recommendations For KPK Employees Next Week To President Jokowi
JAKARTA - The National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) said it would submit recommendations related to the findings of violations in the National Insight Test Assessment (TWK) for employees of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) next week.
This handover will be carried out directly to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
"Next week at the earliest (submission of TWK recommendations for KPK employees, ed)," Komnas HAM Commissioner Beka Ulung Hapsara told reporters quoted on Thursday, August 19.
He said that currently the recommendation file is still in the editing and technical stages, so it cannot be submitted immediately even though it was announced on Monday, August 16.
"Currently, we are still editing the grammar, layout, and other technical matters," he said.
Furthermore, Komnas HAM hopes that the recommendation for the implementation of the TWK will get the attention of President Jokowi. Beka said that his party would monitor the actions taken by President Jokowi, the KPK, and the State Civil Service Agency (BKN).
"The monitoring will be based on the attitude of the President, the KPK, and the BKN in responding to the Komnas HAM report, the key of which is based on recommendations in the hands of the President," he said.
Previously, Komnas HAM Commissioner Choirul Anam said he hoped to meet directly with President Jokowi when submitting the results of the TWK. The goal is that the former Governor of DKI Jakarta can get an explanation for their findings.
In its findings, Komnas HAM stated that there were 11 rights violations experienced by KPK employees in the implementation of TWK, namely the right to justice and legal certainty; women's rights; the right not to discriminate; the right to freedom of religion and belief; right to work; and the right to security.
The next right that is violated is the right to information; right to privacy; the right to freedom of assembly and association; the right to participate in government; and the right to freedom of expression.
As a result of this violation, Komnas HAM issued five recommendations which were submitted to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) as the highest authority holder and the highest civil service officer. The contents of the recommendations include appointing employees who do not pass the TWK as ASN and restoring the good name of employees who are stigmatized as a result of this incident.
