Ganjar Supports Dieng Geothermal Project Development To Become Energy Tourism
BANJARNEGARA - Central Java (Central Java) Governor Ganjar Pranowo supports the development of a geothermal project in the Dieng Plateau as an effort to realize energy independence, as well as become a geothermal energy tourism destination.
"In addition to supplying energy for the industrial and tourism communities, the geothermal project around the Sikidang Dieng Crater area can be used as geothermal energy tourism," said Ganjar Pranowo when reviewing PT Geo Dipa Energi's geothermal project around Sikidang Crater, Dieng Plateau, Banjarnegara Regency, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, August 18.
Ganjar Pranowo said that there is a lot of geothermal energy in Central Java and the Dieng geothermal is one of the first from PT Geo Dipa Energi.
"Actually, the development in the areas of Mount Slamet and Mount Lawu also has great potential, if we talk about alternative energy and renewable energy then this is good energy," said Ganjar Pranowo.
The development of geothermal projects, he continued, could be further tidied up, especially the use of more efficient technology so that it has good benefits.
The geothermal project in the Dieng Plateau area itself continues to be developed, even in the near future PT Geo Dipa Energi will add 12 gas wells in the Karang Tengah area, Banjarnegara Regency.
"Hopefully the supply can be more. If there is more, it will not only supply energy for the community and industry but also tourism around Dieng," said Ganjar Pranowo.
He added that in addition to meeting the needs of renewable energy, the geothermal project could also be developed into an energy tourism destination.
"Actually, this can also be a tourist destination. Energy tourism comes from geothermal energy, so later many children will be able to learn, can see. Through this extraordinary wealth we can make energy independent," said Ganjar Pranowo.
