KPK Calls The System Does Not Anticipate The Provision Of Social Assistance Is Cut In The Field

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) admitted that they were surprised by the amount of information that stated that the social assistance money (bansos) received by the public had been cut. However, this is because it was not anticipated in advance in the anti-corruption system that has been created by the institution.

"I don't know if the money (social assistance) was also cut, I don't know, the system doesn't anticipate what it will be cut. That's why the Ministry of Social's money is considered, the regions say it's not my money," said KPK Deputy Prevention and Monitoring Pahala Nainggolan in an online press conference broadcast on the KPK RI YouTube. , Wednesday, August 18th.

According to him, the KPK has been focusing more on improving data at the Ministry of Social Affairs. This data needs to be updated in order to prevent duplicate social assistance recipients.

"So we identified the social assistance two years ago. If the recipient is not accurate, it must be the Ministry of Social data because there is no NIK. Second, the wrong target is the local government, the update is not right," explained Pahala.

In addition, another focus is to ask for help not in kind to close the gap between the people. However, the cuts still occur when the distribution is directly to the community at the lowest level which is not included in the KPK system.

"So the system starts from data, updating, so we don't think that (cutting, red) will happen," he said.

Therefore, to close this gap, the KPK has one application, namely JAGA to report aid cuts. The public, said Pahala, could access the application, including reporting fraudulent actions in the form of deducting social assistance from the amount they should have received.

"We have prepared JAGA.id. So immediately report (if there is a cut, ed) we will pursue it," he concluded.
