Deviation Of Aspiration Funds Of Rp525 Million Increases Investigation, Banyumas DPRD Members, ASN Until Contractors Are Examined

PURWOKERTO - The Purwokerto District Attorney's Office (Kejari) is still investigating cases of alleged irregularities in village financial assistance funds or the aspirations of members of the DPRD Banyumas Regency, Central Java, in 2018-2019.

"As of August 16, 2021, the investigation into cases of alleged misappropriation of aid funds or aspiration funds sourced from the 2018-2019 APBD has been raised to the investigation stage," said Purwokerto's Chief Prosecutor Sunarwan in Purwokerto, Banyumas Regency, Antara, Wednesday, August 18.

The Purwokerto Corruption Crime Investigation Team has conducted an investigation by examining a number of members of the Banyumas Regency DPRD, state civil servants (ASN), and service providers or contractors as well as conducting exposures or internal cases.

According to him, the alleged misappropriation of funds for the aspirations of members of the Banyumas Regency DPRD is estimated to result in state losses of around Rp. 525 million.

In this case, the state's losses come from financing infrastructure projects which are suspected to have reduced the volume of work.

"The Purwokerto Prosecutor's Corruption Investigation Team has started investigating the alleged misappropriation of this aspiration fund since 2020," he said.

He said the investigation was carried out because there were allegations of irregularities in the realization of the use of aspiration funds for infrastructure or physical activities such as reducing the volume of work, deviations in job specifications, and requesting fees.
