Nusantara Flight TNI AU Gives Spirit To COVID-19 Health Workers At Wisma Atlet
JAKARTA - Six Indonesian Air Force helicopters with a call sign Nusantara Flight carrying a giant red-and-white flag crossed beautifully above the Wisma Atlet Covid-19 Emergency Hospital, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.
The presence of Nusantara Flight at Wisma Atlet at a fairly low altitude is an expression of gratitude and appreciation to all health workers throughout the archipelago, who have fought as the front line in handling the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition, the presence of a giant red and white flag above the Wisma Atlet is also a symbol in providing motivation to all Indonesian people who are currently still exposed to COVID-19.
The six helicopters that are part of Nusantara Flight consist of one EC-725 Caracal helicopter from the 8th Air Squadron and three NAS-332 Super Puma helicopters from the 6th Air Squadron, both of which are based at the Indonesian Air Force Base Atang Sendjaja, as well as two NAS- 332 L1 Super Puma of the 45th Air Squadron based at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base.
At the commemoration of the 76th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia this time, the Indonesian Air Force presented two aircraft flights, namely Nusantara Flight and Garuda Flight, which consisted of eight F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter aircraft.
Garuda Flight took off from the Indonesian Air Force Base Iswahyudi, Madiun, and flew over the Merdeka Palace at an altitude of 1,000 feet above sea level, and just above the Monas Monument they scattered in a horizontal Bomb Burst formation.
The Head of the Indonesian Air Force Information Service, First Marshal of the TNI Indan Gilang Buldansyah, said that Nusantara Flight was a flight mission of six Indonesian Air Force helicopters carrying a giant red and white flag at the commemoration ceremony of the 76th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence at the Merdeka Palace.
This flight mission aims to increase nationalism and the fighting spirit of all components of the nation in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.
After carrying out a flight mission at the Merdeka Palace, Nusantara Flight also flew over the Wisma Atlet, specifically to give appreciation to the health workers who are currently fighting at the forefront in handling COVID-19.
"The presence of Nusantara Flight at Wisma Atlet is a form of highest appreciation to doctors, nurses, medical personnel throughout the country for all their services," said Marsma Indan, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, August 17.
In addition, continued Marsma Indan, the presence of six Indonesian Air Force helicopters carrying a giant red and white flag at Wisma Atlet also motivates all Indonesian people who are currently still exposed to the Corona virus.
When passing through Wisma Atlet, Nusantara Flight was greeted enthusiastically and with joy by health workers and COVID-19 patients who are currently undergoing treatment at the COVID-19 Emergency Hospital, waving the red and white flag in their hands.
