JCI On Tuesday Opened To Slightly Weaker 3.58 Points To 4,915.25 Levels

JAKARTA - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) opened slightly lower on Tuesday, June 23 trading. JCI opened higher by 0.07 percent or 3.58 points to 4,915.25 levels.

Opening trades, 24 stocks rose, 42 stocks fell, and 55 stocks were stagnant. The trading volume was recorded at 34.55 million shares and was transacted for IDR 19.94 billion.

Binaartha Sekuritas analyst M. Nafan Aji Gusta Utama predicts JCI will move down today. "There is a potential for further correction in the JCI movement so that it has the opportunity to go to the nearest support," he said.

The support area referred to by Nafan is at the level between 4,865 and 4,778. Meanwhile, the resistance area ranges from 4,975 to 5,097.

As for a number of share recommendations that can be considered by investors, including PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI), PT Estika Tata Tiara Tbk (BEEF), PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk (BSDE), PT Matahari Department Store Tbk (LPPF) , PT Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk (PTBA), and PT Ramayana Lestari Sentosa Tbk (RALS).

A different opinion was expressed by the analyst of PT Reliance Sekuritas Indonesia Tbk (RELI), Lanjar Nafi. According to him, JCI will strengthen and try to reach the closest target resistance at the level of 5.010.

Technically, explained Lanjar, JCI is at a support level that is approaching the overbought area. "So, we estimate that JCI will have the opportunity to fluctuate again in a trend that is trying to strengthen, with support resistance in the range 4,863-5,010," said Lanjar.

In the midst of the potential strengthening of the JCI in today's trading, Lanjar offered a number of shares that market players could observe, namely PT Adaro Energy Tbk (ADRO), PT AKR Corporindo Tbk (AKRA), PT Aneka Tambang (Persero) Tbk ANTM, PT Bank Danamon Tbk (BDMN), PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT), and PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SMGR).
