There Are Still 3 Million People In DKI That Have Not Been Vaccinated, The Ombudsman Asks The Provincial Government To Focus On Vaccinating Residents
JAKARTA - The Greater Jakarta Ombudsman asked the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to focus on vaccinating COVID-19 for its citizens.
The Head of the Greater Jakarta Ombudsman, Teguh P Nugroho, said that there are still around 3 million DKI Jakarta residents who must be vaccinated.
Therefore, the DKI Provincial Government must encourage the Ministry of Health to distribute it to the buffer areas whose numbers are still low due to the inequality of distribution so far.
"Let the supporting residents be taken care of by their respective local governments, so that they can also make vaccination programs that are more accessible, such as the health centers in their area because the number of vaccines is adequate and they don't have to go to Jakarta to get the vaccine," said Teguh, quoted by Antara, Monday. , August 16.
Meanwhile, said Teguh, as support for the national COVID-19 vaccination program in the form of providing vaccines for non-Jakarta residents, it should only be aimed at residents of non-agglomeration areas.
"In addition to continuing to support efforts to accelerate national vaccination, handling vaccines for residents of non-agglomeration areas is also easier to do because the numbers are not as large as agglomeration residents but still support efforts to achieve national vaccination," he said.
However, his party appreciates the achievement of the acceleration of vaccination that has been carried out by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in collaboration with various parties to achieve the vaccination target in Jakarta which has reached 9,017,051 (100.08 percent) for the first dose and 4,260,251 (47.6 percent). percent) for the second dose.
