VIDEO: One Person Dies By Being Bombarded With Sharp Weapons, The New Johar Brawl Is Terrifying
JAKARTA - One person died as a result of a brawl between residents that occurred in the Johar Baru area, Central Jakarta, Monday, August 16, early in the morning. Indra Mayu, a 52-year-old man died in hospital with wounds to his stomach, chest and head from a sharp weapon that rained down on him.
According to police information, a brawl occurred between residents of Baladewa and Tanah Tinggi, precisely at the crossroads of Paris, Johar Baru. Indra, the victim who died, was a resident of RT 02/06, Kampung Rawa Village.
Johar Baru Police Chief Commissioner of Police (Kompol) Edison confirmed that one resident died as a result of the brawl. The deceased had been taken to Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM).
"One person died, died in hospital due to blood loss," said Commissioner Edison when contacted by VOI reporters, Monday, August 16, afternoon.
Furthermore, Commissioner Edison said that his party is currently still investigating the brawl that occurred in his area. His party also admitted that they did not know for sure what triggered the brawl which resulted in the death of one resident.
"Later, yes. We are still investigating first, we will inform you if there are further developments," he said.
Currently, the police chief admitted that his party was still conducting a more in-depth investigation regarding the brawl. Examination of recordings of Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) is being carried out.
"We have found the footage from the CCTV installed there. We are still investigating," he said.
Previously, it was reported that a number of residents of Johar Baru welcomed the 76th Republic of Indonesia's birthday with a brawl between youths. The brawl occurred at the Paris City Bridge, Johar Baru, Central Jakarta, Monday, August 16, at dawn.
