55 Laundry Employees Smothered By Robbers Not Experienced Sexual Harassment
JAKARTA - The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tanah Abang Police, AKP Haris, is still conducting investigations and developments on MH (32), the perpetrator of the violent robbery on Jalan Karet Baru Barat 1, Karet Tengsing Village, Tanah Abang District, Central Jakarta.
The victim, a female laundry stall employee (laundry) 55 with the initials FJ, suffered bruises on her right cheek and cuts on her right palm. This woman, a resident of Ogan Komering, South Sumatra, had time to get treatment at the nearest clinic.
"The suspect MH has been detained in a detention cell. He is a former employee there (laundry 55), intending to steal but was caught," said AKP Haris to VOI, Monday, August 16.
The action of the residents of Bandar Waru Village, Banten was caught by Ina, who is also an eye witness to the incident.
"When the victim was helpless, the witness came to the location. The witness screamed hysterically several times while saying that someone was inside," said Kanit.
The perpetrator panicked after his actions were discovered by others. The perpetrator tried to escape to save himself.
"Out of fear, the suspect released the victim. The suspect left the laundry room and was caught by the residents," he said.
The suspect was taken to the Tanah Abang Police Headquarters along with evidence of a knife, 2 pillowcases and a rope.
"The suspect has not worked at the location for a year. Then he was fired because he was problematic and naughty. From the suspect's confession, he really intended to rob for money. There was no sexual harassment," he said.
