JAKARTA - Vice President (Wapres) KH Ma'ruf Amin attends the 2021 MPR Annual Session and the 2021 DPR and DPD Joint Session in the Plenary Meeting Room, Nusantara MPR/DPR/DPD Building, Monday, August 16, morning.
The vice president was seen wearing traditional Mandar clothing from West Sulawesi. The philosophical reason is that Mandar men must be agile and agile in their work. The vice president looks simple with a combination of a black suit and pants with a red woven sarong with the typical Mandar pattern used as a belt, as well as a head covering called the songkok tabone.
Present with Vice President Ma'ruf, President Jokowi also wore a black shirt and pants with a blue headband, complete with a woven bag. The president at this annual session wears the traditional Baduy dress.
At the MPR Annual Session coupled with the Joint Session of the DPR and DPD, and held online and offline with this very strict health protocol, the Vice President will also listen to the President's State Speech in commemoration of the 76th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia. After attending this session, in the same place, the Vice President will also continue to attend the Plenary Meeting of the Opening of the Session I of the DPR for the 2021 - 2022 session to hear the President's Speech in the context of Submission of Government Information on the Bill on the State Budget for Fiscal Year 2022 and its Financial Note. In addition to the Leaders and Members of the MPR, DPR, and DPD as well as other limited invitations, it was also seen that they were present in person in the Plenary Meeting Room of the Nusantara Building, the Chairman of the BPK, the Chairman of the Supreme Court, the Chairman of the Constitutional Court, and the Chairman of the Judicial Commission.
