People Are Happy With Jokowi-Ma'ruf's Performance, PDIP Politicians Ask The Government Not To Be Satisfied

JAKARTA - Member of the House of Representatives Hendrawan Supratikno said that the recent survey results obtained by the government should serve as vitamins for better work.

Hendrawan asked the government under the leadership of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) not to be satisfied with the good achievements so far. This is because the challenges can be even more difficult due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"The conditions we face are not easy. In these conditions, a good survey result must of course be used as a vitamin to work harder. Good is not enough when better is possible," he said.

Hendrawan commented on the results of the Charta Politica Indonesia survey which stated that 62.4 percent of respondents were satisfied with the performance of the Jokowi-Ma'ruf government during the pandemic. The survey on July 12-20, involved 1,200 respondents throughout Indonesia.

Hendrawan, who is also a PDIP politician, said that there was no single cause of public satisfaction regarding the survey results.

According to him, one of the factors that makes people optimistic is the controlled socio-political situation. He appreciated the synergy between the TNI and Polri which had succeeded in maintaining security stability.

Then, if someone thinks the government has failed to ask Jokowi to step down, according to Hendrawan, it comes from a group that wants to take advantage of the situation for partisan political gain.

"There are always these groups everywhere," said Hendrawan.
