Fire In Kemang, South Jakarta Kills 3 People, Firefighters: Most Houses Are Made Of Wood
JAKARTA - The red rooster crushed dozens of semi-permanent houses in a densely populated residential area on Jalan Kemang Utara IX, RT 04/4, Bangka Village, Mampang Prapatan District, South Jakarta. The great fire occurred on Sunday, August 15, at around 03.19 WIB.
The blazing fire scorched at least 70 houses. The fire also killed three people. It was later discovered that the victims were Kaka (30), Eni (40) and Febri (3). The victim's body was then taken to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital for an autopsy.

South Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat), Herbert, Sunday, August 15. According to him, the fire spread because houses were dominated by wooden buildings, so the fire spread quickly. The fire was triggered by a short circuit.
The fire was successfully extinguished at 04.52 WIB by deploying 19 units of the Fire Department. Meanwhile, the cooling process was carried out at 07.43 WIB to ensure that the burning object was completely sterile from the fire.
Until now, the fire case is still being handled by the Mampang Prapatan Police. The police are still gathering eyewitnesses to the incident for questioning.
