Cirebon Police Holds Special Vaccination For Orphans Due To COVID-19

CIREBON - Cirebon Police, West Java, held a COVID-19 vaccination and social service for orphans, especially those who were abandoned by their parents due to COVID-19.

"Those who take part in the vaccination are children who have lost their parents due to the COVID-19 pandemic," said Cirebon Police Chief Kombes Arif Budiman, quoted by Antara, Friday, August 13.

Arif said the injection of the COVID-19 vaccine for these orphans was to ensure their health. So that in the future these children will have antibodies.

Moreover, the COVID-19 vaccination for children aged 12 to 17 years has begun in Cirebon Regency. Arif hopes that the children's enthusiasm will increase to meet their future.

"With vaccination, it is hoped that these children can have immunity and are not easily exposed to COVID-19," he said.

Apart from being injected with the vaccine, the 90 orphans, said Arif, were also given assistance in the form of food packages and school equipment.

According to him, in the current situation, not a few children have lost their parents due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, the spirit of concern for all elements of society must be mobilized to help them.

"In principle, orphans must be helped. Especially those who have lost their parents. So it must be ensured that these children do not lose their future, especially their education," said Arif.
