Making Fun Of Not Having A Life Partner, Fishermen Kill Fellow Fishermen

JAKARTA - The Blitar Police Team, East Java, detained a fisherman who committed acts of mistreatment on fellow fishermen in Blitar Regency, causing the victim to die.

Blitar Police Chief AKBP Adhitya Panji Anom said that the case began with reports from residents at Sudarto's house, in Tambakrejo Village, Wonotirto District, Blitar Regency, where there was persecution until someone died.

"We have secured the suspect for further investigation," he said, quoted by Antara, Friday, August 13.

In that incident, the suspect who was arrested was UTI (38), a fisherman, a resident of Kedungringin Village, Muncar District, Banyuwangi Regency. Meanwhile, the victim is his colleague, Nurhuda (36), a resident of Tapanrejo Village, Muncar District, Banyuwangi Regency.

The case occurred on Tuesday, August 10, around 23.00 WIB. The incident began on Thursday, August 5, when the victim invited the perpetrator to work in Blitar as a fisherman. On Saturday, August 7, the perpetrator departed from Banyuwangi by bus with the victim and other colleagues.

They arrived in Tambakrejo Village, Wonotirto District, Blitar Regency and worked at Gembong (45), a resident of Tambakrejo Village, Blitar Regency as fishermen. They stay at another resident's house which is not far from their place of work.

On Sunday, August 8, the three colleagues took a break after work, but a few days later there was no work.

To the officers, the perpetrator admitted that he was annoyed, because the victim often made fun of him. Apart from not having an established job, he also doesn't have a life partner. The ridicule had been carried out since before leaving for Blitar, causing him to hold grudges to the point where the perpetrators could no longer contain themselves.

The perpetrator slept in the same room with two other colleagues. Before the incident, the perpetrator had pretended to sleep until almost midnight, the perpetrator got up and went to the bathroom downstairs. The other two companions were fast asleep.

After coming from the bathroom, the perpetrator took an iron that was next to the room downstairs and then went up to the second floor, went to the room he shared with his two colleagues and immediately hit the victim who was sleeping on several parts of his body.

At that time, the other victim's colleagues were shocked and immediately ran away screaming for help. Not long after, other residents arrived and arrested the perpetrator.

The victim was also immediately taken to the hospital for treatment, but the person concerned died. Residents also reported this incident to the police, and the perpetrator was taken away without a fight.

The police will charge him with Article 340 of the Criminal Code on premeditated murder with a life sentence.

Meanwhile, the authorities have also contacted the victim's family in Banyuwangi, and the family immediately took care to be repatriated and buried immediately.
