Harun Masiku's Red Notice Has Been Issued For A Month, There Is No Information On Its Existence

JAKARTA - Interpol Indonesia's National Central Bureau (NCB) stated that no country has detected Harun Masiku's whereabouts. Red notice Harun Masiku has been published since a month ago.

"Several countries have responded to our request and stated that the subject (Harun Masiku) has not been found in the traffic data in their country," said SES NCB Interpol Indonesia Brigadier General Amur to reporters, Thursday, July 12.

In the search mechanism for Harun Masiki, 194 countries that are members of the Interpol NCB will focus on official crossing routes. So, this can increase the chances of finding Harun Masiku's whereabouts.

But it is also possible that Aaron's whereabouts were not detected. Even then, if a fugitive from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) enters a country using an illegal route.

"All possibilities can of course happen," said Amur.

However, Amur emphasized that if Harun Masiku's whereabouts were detected, then the authorities of the country he was in could immediately arrest him. Because, Harun Masiku's name has been included in the red notice list.

"If detected in their territory, then the subject will be secured by them," said Amur.

Harun Masiku was named as a suspect in giving bribes to KPU Commissioner Wahyu Setiawan in January 2020. This bribery was carried out so that he could get an easy seat as a member of the DPR through interim shifts or PAW.

Harun's escape began when the KPK carried out an arrest operation regarding this case on January 8, 2020. In the silent operation, the KPK named four suspects, namely Harun Masiku, Wahyu Setiawan, former Bawaslu Member Agustiani Tio Fridelina, and Saeful Bahri.

However, Harun, who was not caught by OTT, is unknown. He reportedly fled to Singapore and is said to have returned to Indonesia.
