Malaysian Artist In Narcotics Circulation In Jakarta

JAKARTA - Efforts to smuggle narcotics are increasingly rampant ahead of the turn of the year. Various modus operandi were made for the sake of smooth circulation. On the other hand, enforcement is also being intensified to curb illegal actions.

The West Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Detective Unit revealed the smuggling of narcotics from Malaysia. A woman with the initials DY (39) is said to be a carrier of illicit goods from a neighboring country. In fact, he was also the one who circulated it after arriving in Jakarta.

West Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Head AKBP Erick Frendriz said the suspect DY was arrested in an apartment unit in Tangerang City. The arrests are the aftermath of a long investigation spanning several months.

However, the police were dumbfounded because at the time of the arrest, no prohibited items were found. Furthermore, the examination and development will be carried out immediately, including obtaining information from DY about where the narcotics are stored.

Search of DY's apartment (Special)

One of the apartment units in the South Tangerang area is called a storage warehouse. The police headed for the location mentioned. In the apartment unit, the police found only a few cans of cocoa powder. However, the white crystals are precisely what is visible when the can is opened.

Even so, the police have not disclosed the number of methamphetamine found on the grounds that they are related to the drug dealer network. "Members succeeded in securing several cans of cocoa powder for Malaysian food supplements that were suspected of containing methamphetamine-type drugs," said Erick when confirmed, Wednesday, December 11.

Malaysian artist is a suspect

Although the number of methamphetamine found has not been explained, it was said that the suspect DY was a public figure in Malaysia.

West Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Hengki Haryadi said the suspect had taken part in the entertainment world. Models and television show performers had become his profession before becoming drug dealers.

"The suspect DY is a former model. The suspect has also performed on Malaysian television programs several times," said Hengki.
