Get Acquainted With Mi Pad 5, Mi Pad 5 Pro, And Mi Pad 5 Pro 5G Specifications

YOGYAKARTA - After only being a rumor for two years, the giant smartphone manufacturer from China, Xiaomi has finally introduced its newest tablet model. Unmitigated, the company immediately introduced 3 variants at once.

The three variants of the latest Xiaomi tablet are named Mi Pad 5, Mi Pad 5 Pro, and Mi Pad 5 Pro 5G, respectively. As we can conclude from the name, Mi Pad 5Pro 5G will be the only variant that supports 5G internet connection technology.

The Mi Pad 5 series was introduced during a live broadcast event on August 10. Along with the introduction of the company's latest ultra flagship smartphone, the Mi Mix 4.

Xiaomi founder and CEO Lei Jun revealed that the three new Mi Pad series can be ordered since yesterday. The company gives until August 16 if fans want to have this new sophisticated tablet.

As expected, the arrival of this new Xiaomi tablet marks the start of a new competition from the company. The reason is, the Mi Pad 5 series products will compete directly with other tablets that are more established – both in terms of brand value and technology.

So, what are the specifications and prices for the Mi Pad 5 series? Does this product have the components needed to compete head-on with giants like Samsung and Apple? For more details, see the descriptions that have been summarized by the VOI team from the following sources.

Specifications of Mi Pad 5 series

During the product launch session, Lei Jun explained that the two Mi Pad 5 models do have a similar design. While the biggest difference is in the variant with a 5G connection, namely the Mi Pad 5 Pro 5G.

The three new tablets are both equipped with an LCD panel that is capable of producing a 120Hz refresh rate. All three devices also get an additional cover that adds a keyboard and a stylus.

The most obvious difference is in the System on Chipset section. Where the Mi Pad 5 is supported by the Snapdragon 860 chip, while the Mi Pad 5 Pro and Mi Pad 5 Pro 5G are equipped with the Snapdragon 870 chip.

Storage memory is also slightly different. The Mi Pad 5 and Pad 5 Pro variants are equipped with two internal storage options with one RAM option. Namely 6GB/128GB and 6GB/256GB. Meanwhile, the 5G variant is equipped with more storage, with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

On the durability side, the company has also prepared a giant capacity battery. Citing GSMArena, Mi Pad 5 is equipped with a capacity of 8,720mAh with 33W fast charging feature.

Meanwhile, Mi Pad 5 Pro is equipped with a battery with less capacity but a much faster fast charger. Namely an 8,600 mAh battery with fast charging reaching 67W.

Just like the iPad with iPadOS, Xiaomi is also preparing a standalone interface operating system for this tablet. Namely the operating system MIUI For Pad. And surprisingly, it looks exactly like the one inside iPadOS!
