Tunas Ridean Books Revenue Of IDR 5.6 Trillion In Semester I 2021

JAKARTA - PT Tunas Ridean Tbk recorded performance growth in the first six months of this year. The company's revenue coded as TURI was recorded to grow in the first semester of 2021.

Rico Adisurja Setiawan, President Director of PT Tunas Ridean Tbk in a virtual public expose, Thursday, August 12, said that the Group's net income for the period ended June 30, 2021, amounted to Rp5.6 trillion. This figure increased 26 percent from the previous year.

"Meanwhile, profit attributable to shareholders amounted to Rp. 214.1 billion, an increase of 100 percent. Earnings per share also rose 100 percent to Rp. 38," said Rico.

The Group's profit from the automotive business rose 90 percent to Rp167.6 billion due to an increase in sales. The national car market rose 51 percent to 393,469 units while the Group's car sales rose 20 percent to 17,039 units.

The national motorcycle trade market rose 30 percent to 2.5 million units. The Group's motorcycle sales rose 45 percent to 100,622 units.

The rental business contributed a loss of Rp3.2 billion, compared to last year's profit of Rp14.3 billion, mainly due to a decrease in the number of units under contract and a lower unit disposal value. The number of rental fleets decreased to 7,570 units because several rental contracts had expired.

An associated company that is 49 percent owned by the Group, Mandiri Tunas Finance, contributed to profit after tax of Rp49.7 billion, compared to a loss in the previous year of Rp5.3 billion mainly as a result of the recovery of net interest income. The amount of new financing rose 4 percent to Rp9.2 trillion.

Rico also explained that the company had distributed dividends for the 2020 financial year to shareholders on July 14, 2021, amounting to Rp39.06 billion or Rp7 per share. This shows that the company has a commitment to always create sustainable growth.
