Unlike Pinangki, The Prosecutor's Office On Cassation Decisions On The Circumcision Of Joko Tjandra's Appeal

JAKARTA - The Central Jakarta District Prosecutor's Office rejected the appeal decision of the DKI Jakarta High Court which cut Joko Tjandra's sentence. The Public Prosecutor at the Central Jakarta District Attorney also filed an appeal.

Head of the Central Jakarta Attorney General's Office, Bima Suprayoga, said that his party's appeal had been submitted to the Supreme Court (MA).

"The appeal has already been submitted," said Head of the Central Jakarta Attorney General's Office, Bima Suprayoga, to VOI, Thursday, August 12.

However, he admitted that he did not remember the date of the appeal. This is because he admits that he has only been the Head of the Central Jakarta Prosecutor's Office for two days.

Regarding the reason for his party to file an appeal, he said it had been written down in the memory. For more details, he said, will be presented in court.

"We will tell you the reason later in the cassation memorandum, right? That's a strategy," said Bima.

It is known, the DKI Jakarta High Court (PT) decided to cut the sentence of Joko Soegiarto Tjandra alias Joko Tjandra from 4 years 6 months in prison to 3 years 6 months.

Then, Joko was also given a fine. The amount did not change with the verdict in the first level decision, namely Rp. 100 million, subsidiary to 6 months in prison. In this case there is also Pinangki Sirna Malasari. Meanwhile, Pinangki, who at that time served as Head of the Planning Subdivision of the Junior Attorney General for Development, was involved in the Joko Tjandra case.

The Central Jakarta Corruption Court sentenced Pinangki to 10 years in prison. Then Pinangki filed an appeal to PT DKI.

In its decision, PT DKI reduced Pinangki's sentence to 4 years in prison. However, the Prosecutor's Office did not appeal this decision at that time.

Currently Pinangki has been executed to the Tangerang Class IIA Prison to serve his sentence.
