Chelsea Vs Villarreal: The Blues Win The European Super Cup After Winning Tos-tosan
JAKARTA - Chelsea won the 2021 European Super Cup after defeating Villareal through a penalty shootout at Windsor Park, Belfast, Ireland, Thursday morning Indonesian time.

In this match, Chelsea took the initiative to attack first and managed to score a goal in the first half.
Chelsea managed to take the lead in the 27th minute after Hakim Ziyech managed to break into Villareal's goal.
Starting from a pass sent by Kai Havertz, Ziyech managed to put the ball into the Villareal goal which was escorted by Sergio Asenjo.
After this goal, then both teams tried to play attacking but until the first half after the score was 1-0 for Chelsea's advantage to survive.
In this first half, coach from Chelsea Thomas Tuchel got a yellow card for excessive protesting to the referee in the 45+1 minute.
Later in the second half, Villareal tried to equalize by taking the initiative to attack first.
Finally, in the 73rd minute, Villareal striker, Gerard Moreno managed to release a kick that broke into the Chelsea goal.
Moreno's goal was born thanks to a pass sent by Boulaye Dia which made the score 1-1 and the match went into extra time.
Later in the extra round, Chelsea looked more dominant in controlling the match but still couldn't steal a goal.
It was recorded that during the 30 minutes of extra time, Chelsea could control 61% of the ball possession but the Villareal defense could still block Chelsea's onslaught and the score was as strong as 1-1 remained.
Ahead of the penalty shootout, Chelsea fielded their goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga replacing Edouard Mendy.
In this penalty shootout, Chelsea substitute goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga came out as a Chelsea hero after successfully denying two Villareal kicks which were executed by Aissa Mandi and Raul Albiol.
Kepa's brilliance brought Chelsea to a 6-5 win in this penalty shootout, making the Blues win the European Super Cup after failing on three previous occasions.

In addition, this is also the second trophy that Thomas Tuchel has presented for Chelsea, after winning the Champions League in the previous season by beating Manchester City 1-0.
