Golkar Displays Photos Of Airlangga Hartarto On Billboards, Because It Is Considered Less Popular
JAKARTA – The political dynamics ahead of the 2024 presidential election are increasingly felt. The figure of the face that is favored by a number of parties, has been seen adorning the atmosphere of the street. Through billboards at the crossroads, political figures compete for fame.
Deputy Chairman of the Golkar Party Ahmad Doli Kurnia Tandjung spoke about the appearance of Airlangga Hartarto's face through billboards that stood in various regions.
According to Ahmad Doli, Airlangga Hartarto, which is displayed in a number of areas in the country, is part of an effort to socialize the 2024 Presidential Candidate (Capres).
"Initially the socialization attribute was carried out sporadically by Golkar cadres in the regions. However, now the installation of billboards has been arranged by the party," said Ahmad Doli quoting Antara, Wednesday, August 11.
Ahmad Doli said, in 2021, the party should introduce to the public which candidate it will carry in 2024. According to him, this step is part of a strategy that has been thought up by the party. Moreover, Ahmad Doli considered that Airlangga's popularity and electability were still low.
"Therefore, hard work is needed to increase the popularity and electability of Pak Airlangga Hartarto," he said.
Asking whether Airlangga Hartarto is ready as a presidential candidate in 2024, Ahmad Doli said that the General Chair of Golkar has not yet provided an answer because he is still focused on helping President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) as the Coordinating Minister for the Economy.
"He is currently focusing on that," said Ahmad Doli.
