Give The Hospital And OPD Two Weeks To Improve Public Services, Bobby Nasution: Our Budget Comes From The Community
MEDAN - Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution asked the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Dr. Pirngadi and four regional apparatus organizations (OPD) within the Medan City Government, North Sumatra, to immediately improve the quality of public services to the community.
"We have given two weeks to the leadership of RSUD Dr. Pirngadi and four OPDs to improve the quality of service," said Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution in Medan, as reported by Antara, Wednesday, August 11.
Furthermore, President Joko Widodo's son-in-law detailed the four OPDs, namely the Health Service, Public Works Service, Sanitation and Gardening Service, and the Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises Service.
The mayor admitted that his party had received the results of a community satisfaction survey conducted by a team from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (Fisipol) at the University of North Sumatra (USU).
The results show that the service quality value of Dr. Pirngadi Hospital and two OPDs of them are not good with a C score. While the other two OPDs are declared not good with a D score.
"Map the problem and explain what steps are being taken to improve the quality of service on the nine elements of community satisfaction," explained Bobby.
Mayor Bobby further said that there are nine elements of community satisfaction, namely requirements, procedures, implementation time, costs, product specifications, implementing competencies, implementing behavior, handling complaints, suggestions and inputs, as well as facilities and infrastructure.
"This is not only OPD dealing directly with residents. But all OPD work for the community. OPD works with a budget, and the budget comes from the community," said Bobby Nasution.
Separately, USU's FISIP Survey Implementing Coordinator Hendra Harahap said that his party was conducting a community satisfaction survey for the April-June 2021 period.
"The purpose of this survey is to determine the service performance of Pirngadi Hospital and the four OPDs. To identify and identify service weaknesses, and to provide recommendations for performance improvement," he said.
