Good News, Serdang Bedagai Regency Government Gives Third Dose For Healthcare Workers With Moderna Vaccine
JAKARTA - The government of Serdang Bedagai Regency, North Sumatra, has started to vaccinate the third dose or booster vaccination of COVID-19 with Moderna for health workers (Nakes) in the area.
The Regent of Serdang Bedagai Darma Wijaya in Seirapah said that the Regency Government through the Health Service had received 1,540 doses of modern vaccine intended for health workers.
"The importance of this third dose of vaccination which is useful for the body's resistance of health workers, especially medical personnel in the 'Indigenous Land of the Sorcerer', because they are the front line in handling COVID-19," he explained quoting Antara Wednesday, August 11.
He further conveyed, until now there has been a spike in cases of COVID-19 infection. So, this vaccination is mandatory for health workers because they are at the forefront.
For that he invites all health workers together for vaccines for the health of the body. Keep the spirit, never get tired because health workers are heroes for the community.
In the future, continued the Regent, the third dose of vaccine with Moderna will be disseminated to all medical personnel in Serdang Bedagai Regency.
"After being vaccinated against Sinovac type I and II, we hope that all health workers in Serdang Bedagai will be vaccinated for this third dose. After all health workers are fulfilled, it will be given to the community," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Serdang Bedagai Health Service, dr. Bulan Simanungkalit explained, later the Moderna vaccine will be distributed to a number of health centers, auxiliary health centers, village health centers and government and private hospitals in Serdang Bedagai.
"After all the health workers have finished, then according to the government's discourse, phase three vaccines will be given to the community," he explained.
