Surprised That Anies Baswedan Paid More Times, Ferdinand To Firli Bahuri: Must Have The Guts To Expose Corruption
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is known to have overpaid many times. Various criticisms were also conveyed to Anies Baswedan as the number one person regarding poor governance.
Former Democrat Party politician Ferdinand Hutahaean also opened his voice over this case of overpayment. Ferdinand was surprised, how can overpayments occur many times in the DKI Provincial Government.
Starting from the overpayment of the COVID-19 rapid test equipment procurement in 2020 with a value of IDR1.1 billion, the payment of salaries for employees who have died and retired worth IDR862 million, overpayment of IDR6.5 billion for 4 packages of fire extinguishers.
"What's really going on, why are there so many allegations of corruption, overpayment starting from Formula E, there are all kinds of advantages, but why didn't the KPK or the prosecutor's office come down to investigate?
"Healthy logic, sane, normal human beings see this as a planned corruption loophole. How many times have you been overpaid. The salaries of employees who have died are still being paid, this is alleged to have been a game, alleged corruption," said Ferdinand via the Youtube channel @Ferdinand Hutahaean, Wednesday , August 11th.
Therefore, Ferdinand urged Firli Bahuri and other KPK leaders to take the prosecutor's office seriously in responding to this overpayment. Tell the people if there is an intervention to the KPK, preventing investigators from further investigating the overpayment.
"So if the KPK leadership doesn't dare, don't have the guts to tell the people, if you don't dare, let us go down and let the people judge. We are waiting for the KPK's performance, show that the KPK is the most frightening institution for corruption," said Ferdinand.
DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan on several occasions has answered the results of the BPK audit of this overpayment case. Anies clarified several things regarding BPK's findings during the August 2 plenary session.
Regarding waste on the procurement of masks and COVID-19 rapid test kits, for example, according to Anies, this has been followed up in accordance with BPK's recommendations. "It has been followed up in accordance with BPK's recommendations," said Anies.
In addition, regarding the overpayment of the purchase of a fire engine procurement package, Anies also said that the findings had been followed up. "And returned to the Regional Treasury."
Meanwhile, the Head of the DKI Health Office, Widyastuti, said that the problem of procuring masks and rapid tests was actually an activity in 2020 and had been checked by the BPK. "This is an activity in 2020 and an inspection has been carried out by the BPK and no state losses have been found," he told reporters on August 6.
According to Widyastuti, the problem of overpaying masks and COVID-19 test kits is only an administrative matter. "There is no state loss, it's just an administrative matter."
Widyastuti also explained the reason for the difference in the price for the procurement of masks. "That was the beginning, the masks were difficult, so there were lots of types. Well, of course we are in accordance with the specifications requested with input from the user," he said.
