Giving Relief, Kemkominfo Delays Billing Of Frequency BHP To Sampoerna Telecommunications
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Information (Kemenkominfo) announced the postponement of the collection of the License Fee for Radio Frequency Band Licenses to PT Sampoerna Telekomunikasi Indonesia.
Kominfo previously imposed administrative sanctions on PT Sampoerna Telekomunikasi Indonesia, which was in arrears on the IPFR BHP for 2019 and 2020.
The ministry has also sent a warning letter to the company. "The imposition of these sanctions will continue with the issuance of the Third Warning Letter on August 1, 2021," the announcement was made on the official website of the Ministry of Communications and Informatics, quoted on Wednesday.
On July 15 and July 30, Kominfo received a letter requesting relief from the payment of BHP IPFR for bills for 2019 and 2020 from PT Sampoerna Telekomunikasi Indonesia.
The application for relief is addressed to the Minister of Communications and Informatics, in accordance with Government regulation Number 59 of 2020 concerning Procedures for Filing and Settlement of Objections, Relief and Refunding of Non-Tax State Revenue.
Sampoerna Telekomunikasi Indonesia, according to Kominfo, reasoned that the sedan was experiencing financial liquidity difficulties.
In addition to asking for payment relief, Sampoerna Telekomunikasi Indonesia has acknowledged the amount of the 2019 IPFR BHP (for the fourth year), which was determined through the Decree of the Minister of Communication and Information Number 631 of 2019 concerning the Amount and Time of Payment of the Fee for the Right to Use a Radio Frequency Spectrum for the Fourth Year which was the object of a lawsuit in the Court. State Administration.
"PT STI has also withdrawn the State Administrative lawsuit for the 2020 BHP IPFR (the fifth year), and revoked the civil lawsuit," said the Ministry of Communication and Information as reported by Antara.
After submitting the request for relief from the radio frequency spectrum BHP, the Ministry of Communication and Informatics postponed the collection and transfer of the non-tax state revenue payable for the 2019 and 2020 BHP.
"Furthermore, the Ministry of Communications and Informatics will check the completeness of documents and research the substance of the application for PNBP relief by involving the government's internal supervisory apparatus and the Examining Agency as stipulated in Government Regulation Number 59 of 2020," said Kominfo.
Sampoerna Telekomunikasi Indonesia's BHP spectrum arrears for 2019 and 2020 as of last June amounted to Rp442 billion to the Kemenkominfo, consisting of principal debt and fines.
