Asensio Comeback, Scored 31 Seconds Of Goals To Valencia Goalkeeper
JAKARTA - Marco Asensio marked his return to the grass court by scoring a fast and beautiful goal in Real Madrid's match against Valencia on Friday, 19 June. Incredibly, the player who was just recovering from injury scored with his first touch. Or, 31 seconds after coming on to the field in the 74th minute.
This season, Spain international Asensio has yet to kick a ball. He suffered an anterior ligament injury since July last year.
But there is always a blessing behind a disaster. Asensio returned to good health when the league was suspended for three months due to the aftermath of COVID-19.
Asensio made up for lost time by showing great technique to score Madrid's second goal in the second half of the match played at the Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium. Meanwhile, Karim Benzema scored the opening and closing goals to seal Los Blancos' 3-0 victory.

Valencia is not without a fight. Rodrigo Moreno almost conceded Madrid but his shot was brilliantly tipped over to the left by Thibaut Courtois.
The two goalkeepers were busy again before the break, Jasper Cillessen blocking a Dani Carvajal effort and Courtois parrying Geoffrey Kondogbia's long-range effort.
Madrid were completely in control after the second half began. However, it took them up to the 61st minute to threaten El Che's defense.
Ferland Mendy crossed from the left and Asensio sensationally led the hosts with a volley to the right of the net.

Not wanting to be outdone, Benzema put the 'cherry on the cake' with a brilliant effort. Lifting the ball past Hugo Guillamon before firing a volley past the defenseless Cillessen.
With this victory, Madrid again narrowed the distance from league leaders Barcelona. Now, they are again two points adrift of Los Blaugarana.
