McGregor Pokes Fun At Khabib's Late Dad On Twitter, Eagle Coach: Idiot!

JAKARTA - Khabib Nurmagomedov's coach, Javier Mendez, has lashed out at Conor McGregor after the Irishman made a rude joke about The Eagle's late father on social media.

Khabib's father, Abdulmanap, died of complications from COVID-19 in July 2020 and McGregor drew criticism from all over for his tweet, which he quickly deleted.

"Who should like him for comments like that?" Mendez said on the Real Quick with Mike Swick podcast reported by MARCA, Wednesday, August 11.

"How many people do you know, lost family, lost business, lost everything to COVID, and you make fun of him? You say COVID is good, dad is bad? Are you kidding?

"So you're telling all the poor people who lost their families, lost their businesses, people who committed suicide over this worldwide tragedy, and you think you're making fun of him by trying to attack someone's father using that? You idiot. . You're an idiot.

"He's an idiot. He's a complete idiot, and he's out of control. Sorry. And this has nothing to do with Khabib's father. It has nothing to do with the comments about COVID. We already know what he thinks about Khabib. -what. But you make comments like that, all the money in the world won't let you get away with some stupid things you say."

Mendez also described McGregor's reckless behavior, which he believed stemmed from a lack of guidance from his advisers.

"He has said a lot of stupid things," Mendez continued. "And it was clear to me that his coaches, whom I thought were good people, couldn't control him. And what do you do if you have a guy like that? He's your money.

"He has all the money. But he doesn't have the one thing he used to have... The respect of the whole world as a fighter. Maybe he's mad that he doesn't have it anymore. I just know he should never have written those words, forever."
