Not Yet Operational, The Banda Guideg Hospital Solok Building Will Become A Place Of Isolation For COVID-19 Patients
JAKARTA - The Solok City Government will make the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) building in Banda Guideg, Solok, West Sumatra, as a centralized isolation place for COVID-19 patients.
"Solok City Hospital in Banda Guideg, Lubuk Sikarah District, which is currently still under construction, is planned to be used as a centralized isolation area," said Solok Mayor Zul Elfian Umar as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, August 11.
He conveyed this during a limited coordination meeting (rakortas) with the head of regional apparatus organizations (OPD) within the Solok City Government which took place in the mayor's meeting room.
According to him, because currently the RSUD in Banda Guideg has not yet operated and is still under construction, the building will temporarily be used as a centralized isolation place for patients confirmed positive for COVID-19.
"I hope that the handling of patients confirmed positive for COVID-19 in Solok City can be more focused and controlled," he said.
In addition, based on a report on the results of a sample examination by the laboratory of the Faculty of Medicine, Andalas University, Padang, that on August 10, 2021, there were five additional confirmed positive cases of COVID-19.
Thus, he said, the data on positive cases of COVID-19 in Solok City increased to 2,051 people, consisting of 1,685 recovered cases, five people isolated at RST Solok, one person isolated at M Natsir Hospital.
Furthermore, one person was isolated at the M Djamil Hospital, one person was isolated at the Banda Guideg Command Post, 303 people were self-isolated and 54 people died.
He appealed to the public to always maintain their immune system by implementing a clean and healthy lifestyle, eating nutritious food, getting adequate rest and following government recommendations in carrying out health protocols.
This, he said, was aimed at preventing the spread of COVID-19 from getting worse in the city of Solok or known as the City of Rice Serambi Medina.
