After Puan And Airlangga Hartarto Spread Billboards, Gus Miftah: Politicians Happy People Are Difficult, Tuman!
JAKARTA - A well-known cleric from Yogyakarta, Gus Miftah, has also satirized a number of politicians who are diligent in putting up billboards in several big cities in Indonesia. Unfortunately, Gus Miftah did not mention specifically who the politician was.
Gus Miftah's satire was uploaded on his personal Instagram, @gusmiftah as VOI peeked on Tuesday, August 10 night. It looks like Gus Miftah is lying on his side without wearing sunglasses which are his trademark accessories.
"See, my town is full of billboards. Some are small and some are big. Every day the billboards are growing. Politicians are happy, the people are getting more difficult," said Gus Miftah. At the end of the video, Gus Miftah emphatically said, "Basic tumaaan!!!"
The polemic about billboards has recently been heavily discussed by the public. Yes, 2 well-known politicians, namely the Chairman of the DPR RI Puan Maharani and the General Chair of the Golkar Party, Airlangga Hartarto, are figures whose faces are plastered on billboards or billboards.
Puan's billboards were installed in several areas, including in Surabaya, Bandung, Solo and Yogyakarta. Besides showing Puan's face, the billboard also reads the words 'Flap the Wings of Diversity'.
Meanwhile, billboards for the Coordinating Minister for the Economy for the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet, Airlangga, were displayed in South Sulawesi. His writing, 'Work for Indonesia, Airlangga Hartarto 2024'.
A member of Commission XI of the DPR from the PDIP Faction, Hendrawan Supratikno, said that the installation of Puan's billboards was an initiative of the PDIP Faction. He denied that the billboards were installed on the orders of the party. "These are our ideas (the PDIP faction in the DPR RI), there is no order (the party, ed) really," said Hendrawan, Wednesday, August 4.
According to him, all members of the faction agreed to put up Puan Maharani's billboards because of her role as the Speaker of the DPR. This agreement, said Hendrawan, had been discussed collegially after it was approved by the PDIP DPP.
"There was already a faction meeting and then it was approved and everyone agreed, so this is a collective spontaneity by the members," he said.
Separately, the chairman of Golkar's DPP Ace Hasan Syadzily said the installation of Airlangga's billboards was a socialization strategy. This was also an agreement at the national leadership meeting and the Golkar Party's national working meeting to be held in March 2021.
Every structural member of the party to members of the DPR from the Golkar faction must carry out the instructions from the meeting, namely to socialize Airlangga.
