JAKARTA - Social media was shocked by the news that the official clothes of Tangerang Regional House of Representatives members would use materials from the well-known fashion brand, Louis Vuitton.

Quoting era.id, quoted from the uploaded account @nyinyir_update_official, The procurement of new official clothes for members of the Tangerang City Regional House of Representatives has a total budget of IDR 1,275 billion. Interestingly, not only using Louis Vuitton material, this Tangerang DPRD member's clothes have several types of clothes made from different materials, but are still expensive brands.

"From the lab results, Louis Vuitton brand materials will be used for daily casual wear (PDH), while Lanificio Di Calvino's materials will be used for formal civil clothes (PSR), while for daily civilian clothes (PSH) they will use Theodora and Complete civilian clothing (PSL) uses Thomas Crown branded materials", Pokja ULP (Procurement Service Unit Working Group) Secretariat of the Tangerang City Regional House of Representatives Council, Hadi Sudibjo.

The plan to make official clothes has also caused a lot of polemics, especially from the community. Many of them consider that this plan does not really think about the condition of the people who have suffered enough in the midst of the current pandemic conditions.
