Conglomerate Eka Tjipta Widjaja Rumored To Acquire DANA, Sinarmas Director Saleh Husin: I Don't Know, Just Ask DANA
JAKARTA - Former Minister of Industry Saleh Husin who now serves as Director of the Sinarmas Group, Saleh Husin, admitted that he was not aware of the company's plans to acquire digital payment company DANA. According to him, the information had not been conveyed to him so he could not comment further.
"Well, I just heard about it myself and don't know yet," he said when contacted by VOI, Tuesday, August 10.
In fact, the former bureaucrat suggested to confirm to other parties who were reported on the rumors.
"Just ask the DANA," said Saleh Husin.
To note, the issue of the annexation of digital payment companies by Sinarmas was first raised by Deal Street Asia.
In its report, the news agency stated that Sinarmas was negotiating to embrace DANA as part of the company's body. Deal Street Asia obtained this information from an internal source familiar with the course of the business talks.
To note, DANA itself is one of the largest digital wallet services in Indonesia.
From the information compiled by the editors, it was obtained information that DANA is owned by Ant Financial with a shareholding of 45 percent. It is said that it holds 13.05 percent of Bukalapak's shares, which some time ago had just been officially listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).
