1,000 Positive People With COVID-19 In A Day, Shin Tae-yong Reacted When PSSI Asked To Come

JAKARTA - The head coach of the Indonesian national team, Shin Tae-yong, looked annoyed when he was asked to return to Indonesia by the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI). This is because positive cases of COVID-19 in Indonesia are increasing.

There are now 1,000 positive cases of COVID-19 in Indonesia. This clearly made Shin worried and afraid to return home.

"However, the Indonesian Football Federation (PSSI) told the coach to come back and start training," the former South Korean national team coach told local media, News Joins.

The coach then said he would return in September. At that point, he would return to assemble the players and begin a training program with a six-week evaluation.

Shin explained, in the middle of last month, training actually started every day through video calls with 40 players with the U-19 national team. He also revealed that the new road map will be completed in May 2021.

The 51-year-old coach actually has the intention to continue training directly in Korea or other countries starting July 1. However, PSSI General Chairman Mochamad Iriawan has stated that Garuda squad training will be held in Indonesia without any TC abroad.

Shin hopes that PSSI will provide support for all the programs he has prepared. Also with his vision as a coach. It is solely so that the Indonesian national team will be better.

"To do that, we have to move together, step by step,"

The former Seongnam FC player later admitted that his attitude was no longer the same as when he first joined the Indonesian national team. At first, he tried to do everything. Now, it's no longer the same.

"I don't want to talk too much. After all PSSI must focus on football," he said.
