PKS: Heavy! PPKM Keeps Going, Foreign TKA Keep Coming
JAKARTA - The central government announced that the implementation of restrictions on community activities (PPKM) level 2-4 in Java-Bali was extended until August 16.
The chairman of the PKS DPP, Mardani Ali Sera, believes that the government must pay attention to the survival of the lower classes of society during the extension of the third-level PPKM.
"We really need to take care of the welfare of the small people," said Mardani, Tuesday, August 10.
According to him, the people most affected by this policy are those who work daily. So the income is limited.
"I feel very sorry for the suffering (entrepreneurs) of warteg, pedicab drivers, and porters," said the Jakarta legislator.
In addition, the member of Commission II of the DPR also suggested the government to have a crash program mechanism or a way to speed up the completion time in this Level 4 PPKM policy.
Instead of imposing a policy of discrimination that allows the repeated arrival of Chinese foreign workers to Indonesia.
"It's heavy and heavy, if foreign workers continue to be opened, while PPKM continues, it's very unclear what side the government is taking," said Mardani.
Previously, the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Pandjaitan, stated that PPKM levels 2-4 were extended until August 16.
"Under the direction of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, PPKM 4, 3, 2 will be extended until August 16, 2021," Luhut said in a live broadcast on the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube channel, Monday, August 9.
Luhut said the PPKM extension was carried out to maintain good momentum. He said the implementation of PPKM levels 2-4 had previously been going well.
