Ligament Injury, Andy Robertson Absent In Liverpool's Opening Match
JAKARTA - Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson said he suffered ligament damage during Sunday's 1-1 draw with Athletic Bilbao in Sunday's pre-season friendly.
The injury will keep the Scotland international out of the new Premier League season opener against newly promoted Norwich City this Saturday.
"Scans show nothing too serious but there is minor ligament damage that needs to be repaired. I will be grafting every day so I can help the team get back on track even faster," he said via Twitter as quoted by Reuters from Reuters.
Thanks to everyone for the kind messages and support. Scan suggests nothing too major but there's some ligament damage which will need to mend. I will be grafting every day so I can help the team again sooner rather than later. Good luck to the boys playing tonight #YNWA pic.twitter.com/urKPCLmHgS

Robertson limped off late in the first half at Anfield trying to cut out Bilbao's cross.
Meanwhile, Liverpool ended their last pre-season friendly against Osasuna on Tuesday with a 3-1 win.
Jordan Henderson and Thiago Alcantara both made their first pre-season appearances for Liverpool in that game.
