NTT - The government of Kupang Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) will immediately resolve the problem of road access to the construction site for 124 houses for victims of tropical cyclone Seroja in Saukibe Village, Northwest Amfoang District so that the aid program can be implemented immediately.
"We have ordered the Northwest Amfoang Sub-district and Saukibe Village Head officials to immediately complete the permit to use the access road to the relocation site for the construction of houses for residents of the Seroja natural disaster," said Kupang Deputy Regent Jerry Manafe in Kupang, Antara, Monday, August 9.
The construction of 124 houses for victims of Seroja hurricane in Saukibe Village, Northwest Amfoang Subdistrict, Kupang Regency has not yet been carried out due to problems with road access to the location because local residents have not allowed it.
According to him, the protracted process of granting permits to use the entrance to the relocation site has hampered the acceleration of housing construction for residents affected by the tropical cyclone.
"The issue of the road access permit to the location should be resolved by the village and sub-district governments so that the construction of houses can be carried out. We have reminded the village government to immediately because it is only related to the permit to use the access road to the location, so that house construction activities will be carried out within a short period of time. two months left," he said.
Meanwhile, representatives of the NTT Provincial Housing Center, I Wayan Avend, said that there was no access road to the location, resulting in delays in the construction of houses whose contracts will expire in October 2021.
"We are trying to build this house as soon as possible after the permit for access roads to the location is already in place, because the community must be assisted," he said.
