Jorge Martin Wins The Styrian GP, Fabio Quartararo Continues To Lead The Standings
JAKARTA – Jorge Martin performed extraordinary. This 23-year-old Spaniard won the Styrian GP at the Red Bull Ring Circuit, Spielberg, Austria, Sunday, August 8. This is his first victory in MotoGP racing.
Martin took the lead over Joan Mir who finished second and Fabio Quartararo finished third. This became a great coma back for the Pramac Ducati rider after occupying pole position in this race after recovering from injury.

This race was also marked by an accident involving Red Bull KTM rider Dani Pedrosa with Aprilia racer, Lorenzo Savadori. The Savadori motorbike hit Pedrosa's motorbike.
This third lap incident made the start repeated again. This condition was immediately used by two Ducati riders, Jack Miller. He continued to be followed by Martin and Mir. But Miller, lacking consistency, saw him drop to fourth behind Quartararo.
Unlucky for Miller, he finally fell at corner 3 on the remaining 10 laps left. This makes Johan Zarco, in fourth place until the race is over.

Francesco Bagnaia was forced to drop to fourth in the standings with a total of 114 points after finishing in eleventh position at the Stryrian GP. Jack Miller is still able to stay in fifth place with 100 points, despite failing to get any points in this race.
Maverick Vinales is in sixth place with 95 points. Vinales was also unable to score points due to finishing in nineteenth position, due to the motor breaking down during the restart.
