In his review of the construction of the Tanjung Duren COVID-19 Emergency Modular Hospital, Erick said that his party had started testing the first prototype of the ventilator made by Pindad at the hospital. He said, the tool will also be monitored and upgraded to the second prototype at the end of August.
"So we are starting to reduce imported health goods, but of course gradually and patiently. Because the President himself, besides emphasizing medical devices and medicines, we must suppress raw materials, imported drugs so that we can be independent," he said, quoted as saying. from his personal Instagram account @erickthohir, Friday, August 6th.
Erick said he was optimistic that Indonesia could gradually use domestically made health products, both for tools and medicines.
"I am sure that slowly, we will definitely be able to. President Jokowi himself has directed that we can be more independent in the supply of medicines and medical devices. BUMN is for the people and will always be like that," he said.
Not only that, Erick also encouraged more than 1,000 workers in completing construction, so that the hospital could immediately be used to treat COVID-19 patients.

Erick also ensured that the availability of oxygen, medicine and vitamins as well as the inpatient room at the Tanjung Duren COVID-19 Emergency Modular Hospital was guaranteed for the community.
