Fantastic! Loans Association Aims For Rp100 Trillion Fund Disbursement This Year
JAKARTA - Chairman of the Multipurpose Fintech Cluster of the Indonesian Joint Funding Fintech Association (AFPI) Rina Apriana said that the projected distribution of funds by online loan companies (pinjol) throughout 2021 is believed to be reaching the amount of Rp. 100 trillion. According to him, the target is quite relevant considering the realization of the distribution of funds every month is quite good.
“Monthly disbursement in 2021 is good. This can be seen from the average disbursement of funds of around Rp. 10 trillion per month. We believe this year's target can reach between IDR 80 trillion to IDR 100 trillion," he said in a webinar organized by Trijaya, Friday, August 6.
Rina added that her party is optimistic that this shot can be fulfilled by all official fintech lending which currently has legality from the Financial Services Authority (OJK).
"This turnover is expected to be achieved by 121 official OJK lending platforms," he said.
Furthermore, Rina also explained that the majority of the absorption of online loan funds mostly occurred in urban areas.
"So back to nature, this is digital (financial services), in terms of infrastructure and education, most (customers) are in urban areas and the concentration is mostly on the island of Java," he said.
However, Rina does not rule out the possibility that the use of loan services will expand to other regions in Indonesia, given the huge potential that has not been fully exploited.
"We observe that even outside Java is currently developing, especially for those in big cities," he added.
Citing information released by the OJK, it is stated that to date the value of financing that has been distributed by the 4.0 technology company has reached Rp221.6 trillion. This figure is distributed to 64.8 million customers with an outstanding funding book of IDR 23.7 trillion.
