Coordinating Minister For PMK Checks To Ensure Social Assistance Rice Is Consumable
PANDEGLANG - Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture of Indonesia (Menko PMK) Muhadjir Effendi made a surprise inspection of the Indonesian Post Office and Bulog Pandeglang warehouse to ensure that the social assistance rice given to recipients was fit for consumption.
During the surprise inspection, the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture was accompanied by the Regent of Pandeglang Irna Narulita and the Pandeglang Regency Coordination Forum for Regional Leaders (Forkopimda).
The first location visited was the PT Pos Pandeglang office on Jl Bank Banten. Furthermore, the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture and his entourage checked the Bulog Warehouse on Jl. East Cross AMD Pandeglang.
After conducting sudden inspections to the two places, the Coordinating Minister received information that the social assistance rice reported to be in bad condition or not fit for consumption was indeed there because it was raining, but had been set aside before distribution.
"Maybe the ones that were exposed were the ones that weren't good, even though there were actually no problems and the beneficiary families (KPM) who received the social assistance rice were not good enough to be replaced with new rice," said the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, quoted by Antara, Friday, August 6.
He also expressed his gratitude for the information and news related to this matter, as a supervisory function in the field and it is very important.
"We have withdrawn all the problematic rice, because it is very sensitive regarding food that enters the stomach. I don't want low quality to be given to the community, the quality is at least medium, if we give rice we must ensure that the condition of the rice can be eaten, not to degrade standards set by the government," he said.
Meanwhile, Pandeglang Regent Irna Narulita said that in distributing social assistance rice to the community, it was very important to involve all parties to carry out supervision.
"We checked together before reaching the beneficiaries, and almost 130 thousand families received assistance," said Irna
Not only rice assistance, he said, in the future his party will be more strict in checking, both BST, BPNT, PKH, and other social assistance programs.
"We are correcting each other, escorted by all parties, including the Polsek, Koramil, District and Village so that the PPKM rice program can be enjoyed by the community and hopefully in the future it will not happen again," said Irna.
