Quoting Hadith, Vice President Ma'ruf Calls Habib Saggaf's Death Like A Dead Star
JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin shared his condolences for the death of the Main Chairman of Alkhairaat, Habib Saggaf bin Muhammad Aljufri. For Ma'ruf, the deceased was an active figure in preaching and was close to the community.
"We all feel the loss of a pious, pious, habib and mujahid fillah," said Ma'ruf in a testimony show, during an online reading of the tahlil prayer for the death of Habib Saggaf, reported by Antara, Friday, August 6.
He quoted a hadith narrated by Al-Thabrani from Rasulullah SAW, where the death of a scholar is an irreplaceable disaster, and a leak that cannot be patched. The death of a scholar is like an extinguished star.
He said the figure of Habib Saggaf throughout his life had devoted himself to education and da'wah, and was active in various organizations both in the religious field to universities.
"He has served as general chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council of Central Sulawesi Province for three terms since 1992," said Amin.
In addition, the late Habib Saggaf served as a member of the regional representative MPR for the period 1992-1997. A prolific figure writes books and columns in various media, about various Islamic religious sciences.
Amin invites the entire community and residents of Alkhairaat to pray for the late Habib Saggaf.
"May Allah swt accept all of his deeds of worship and place him in a noble place by His side, and the family left behind will be given fortitude and strength and sincerity," he said.
The main chairman of Alkhairaat, Habib Saggaf bin Muhammad Aljufri, died on Tuesday, August 3 at around 15.50 WITA at Alkhairaat Hospital, Palu, Central Sulawesi Province.
He is the grandson of the cleric Habib Idrus bin Salim Al Jufri or the Old Teacher, the founder of the Alkhairaat College, one of the largest Islamic organizations in Eastern Indonesia.
