Man In Labuhanbatu Kills His Affair Who Asked To Marry Because He Was Pregnant

MEDAN - A man named Jamaluddin (51) killed his mistress Natalina (49). This heinous behavior was carried out by the perpetrator because he did not want to be responsible for the victim's pregnancy.

After killing the victim, the perpetrator then disposed of the victim's body in the Aek Natas Riverbank, Ujung Pandang Village, North Labuhanbatu Regency (Labura), North Sumatra.

The Head of the Labuhanbatu Police, AKBP Deni Kurniawan, explained that the incident began on Tuesday, August 3, at noon. Natalia, who is a resident of the District of Bilah Hilir, asked the suspect to take her back to her hometown in the District of Rantauprapat.

"The perpetrators agreed and then they rented a car. Arriving at Rantauprapat, the perpetrator took the victim to his house in Lobusona Village, while the perpetrator returned to his home in Negeri Lama District," Deni said, Friday, August 6.

Deni continued that the next day, the victim contacted the suspect again. He asked to be taken to Aek Natas Subdistrict, North Labuhan Batu Regency with the aim of asking a psychic to sell his business.

At that time the suspect agreed. However, when they arrived at Aek Nathas at around 17.00 WIB, the psychic was not at home.

They were asked to wait. To pass the time waiting, Natalina and Jamaluddin agreed to go elsewhere.

"At that time the perpetrators had the intention of fishing to spend time waiting for the paranormal to return to his house," he said.

After asking the residents, they went to a river to fish. However, until 22.00 WIB, the psychic they wanted to meet had not returned.

When the two chatted, an argument broke out. The reason is that the victim suddenly asks the perpetrator to be responsible for marriage.

"The victim said that she was pregnant. So the perpetrator did not accept the explanation because the victim and the perpetrator had not communicated for 1 (one) year, so the murder took place," said Deni.

When carrying out the action, the suspect first wrapped his right hand around the victim's neck from behind the victim.

"Because the victim fought back by clawing at the perpetrator's hand. Then the perpetrator took the perpetrator's backpack which was located in the middle seat, then wrapped the strap of the bag around the victim's neck until the victim was helpless," said Deni.

Then after confirming that the victim was dead, the suspect dumped the victim's body on the edge of the Aek Natas river, Pardomuan Nauli Hamlet, Ujung Padang Village.

After killing the victim, the perpetrator returned to Rantauprapat to return home. However, because the perpetrator was sleepy, he had time to sleep in the gas station parking lot in the Old Country.

On Thursday, August 5, the police, who received a report of the death toll on the riverbank, immediately went to the location. They then conducted an investigation.

Then, at around 17.00 WIB they found out where Jamaluddin was. The perpetrator was then arrested while in Aek Nabara District.

"He was arrested while waiting for a passing car/bus to go to Pekan Baru, the perpetrator was secured by the Labuhanbatu Police Criminal Investigation Unit," he said.

For his actions, the perpetrators are suspected of Article 340 Jo and Article 338 of the Criminal Code.

"The maximum sentence is death or life imprisonment," said Deni.
