Accompanied By Erick Thohir, Jokowi Visits Tanjung Duren Modular Hospital: There Is An ICU For Children And Babies

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) conducted a review of the Pertamina Modular Hospital in Tanjung Duren, West Jakarta. During his visit, Jokowi was pardoned by SOE Minister Erick Thohir and PT Pertamina President Director Nicke Widyawati. The hospital was established as a precaution against the spike in COVID-19 cases.

The former governor of DKI Jakarta expressed his gratitude to Erick Thohir and Pertamina for preparing a hospital with a capacity of 305 beds. Moreover, he said, the hospital is equipped with an ICU and NICU.

"Even better, there is also a special ICU for children and infants so that they can provide health services for mothers and children," he said, quoted on the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube channel, Friday, August 6.

Furthermore, Jokowi admitted to receiving reports that the hospital occupancy rate (BOR) in Java and Bali had shown a decline, especially in DKI Jakarta where the improvement was significant. For example, the Wisma Athlete Emergency Hospital, one month ago, recorded a BOR rate of up to 90 percent. However, this morning, the BOR rate of the Wisma Atlet RSD was 'only' 25 percent.

"We should be grateful that this morning the figures show that the pandemic in Java and Bali has begun to decline slightly and especially in Jakarta. I always see the BOR numbers, I see them every day, every night," he said.

Although the numbers show a decline, said Jokowi, all parties must remain vigilant and continue to be careful, be prepared, and be on guard. Considering that many in the country have been exposed to the delta variant of COVID-19.

For information, Pertamina Modular Hospital was built on an area of 4.2 hectares. As a precaution against the surge in the number of patients, including critical patients, from the 300 beds available, the Tanjung Duren Modular Hospital has allocated 128 beds for the treatment room, 70 beds in the ICU and ICU emergency rooms and 104 special beds for the ICU building.

The construction of the Modular Hospital is carried out by one of Pertamina's subsidiaries, namely PT Patra Jasa and will be an extension of the Pelni Hospital, which is also a subsidiary of Pertamedika-IHC. Construction began on July 9, 2021 and is targeted to be fully completed this August.

Tanjung Duren Modular Hospital itself will be equipped with negative pressure and a HEPA filter so that the air released from the hospital remains safe for the environment. This hospital will be equipped with an operating room, laboratory room, radiology (CT Scan and X-Ray), pharmacy installation, nutrition installation, central sterilization room, laundry room, and funeral parlor.

Like the Simprug modular hospital, the Tanjung Duren Modular Hospital will also be equipped with a hemodialysis (dialysis therapy) installation for COVID-19 patients who need dialysis and a delivery room for pregnant women who are positive for COVID-19.
