DKI Targets Vaccination Of All Children 12-17 Years Old To Be Completed August 17
JAKARTA - Acting Deputy Head of the DKI Jakarta Education Agency Slamet confirmed that the COVID-19 vaccination target for children aged 12-17 years was completed on August 17.
"This vaccination continues and God willing, our target is mid-August, August 17th. We hope that all children 12-17 years of age will be vaccinated," said Slamet in a virtual discussion, Thursday, August 5.
To date, 587,126 children aged 12-17 years have been vaccinated from a total of 795,612 children.
“Those who have not been vaccinated, the remaining 26.21 percent. The number of vaccine centers recorded was held in collaboration with the health office and the education office," he continued.
There are 273 vaccination center locations spread across 5 cities and one district. Vaccine centers continue to grow because of the support of political parties and other parties.
Meanwhile, regarding the vaccination of educators, DKI noted that 119,457 people were vaccinated with the first dose. While the second dose of vaccination has reached 99,106 people.
"We continue to strive so that the vaccination of students and educators becomes a target so that later we will be allowed (face-to-face schools), but we are very confident when we enter that stage," he continued.
